You may be asking yourself, what does 50 gram accuracy mean. What it means is that you get an extremely exact weight when you use our scale. Most scales only show you your weight to within 100 grams. This is shown on the scale indicator as "XX.0". The UC-321 shows your weight to within 50 grams, or "XX.00".

The UC-321 is so accurate that you can weigh yourself, get off the scale and drink a glass of water, and weigh yourself again and you can actually see how much weight that glass of water added to you. This high degree of accuracy is very useful for amateur athletes who are training on their own and need to monitor their weight closely, but don't have access to good training facilities on a frequent basis. One example is the 1992 Japanese Track and Field Olympic Team. When they first began training their runners at high altitudes, they would take along a large industrial scale.
