Anoperineal Dressing - Maximum absorption, minimum bulk, self-retaining dressing for patients with anoperineal wounds.
ARD tapeless dressings are designed to maximize patient comfort and security. The unique butterfly shape helps keep the dressing comfortably in place during convalescence and normal activities, without the application of tape. The soft, smooth, lint free material is highly absorbent to wound drainage and perspiration usually associated with anorectal surgery, pruritis and other irritations. The Anoperineal Dressing has also proven effective with medication applied to the axillary region, under the breast, and between abdominal folds. Also excellent for Pediatric applications.
Dressings may be used individually or combined for greater absorbency. The compact, safety-sealed, reclosable tray holds 24 dressings and is designed for quick, easy dispensing use. 24 dressings per tray, 12 trays per case. Easily changed in the privacy of a restroom, ARD pads are biodegradable, flushable, and sewer/septic system safe. The soft, smooth, lint free material is highly absorbent to mild anal leakage (slight incontinence), perspiration, as well as wound drainage associated with certain anorectal surgeries, such as hemorrhoidectomies.
1. Remove the plastic cover and take one or two ARD pads as needed. 2. Using your finger as a guide, fold the ARD in half into a butterfly shape.
3. Place the folded ARD between the buttocks. Buttock pressure should be sufficient to hold the dressing in place.
