The innovative Brewer LiftMate, the first Low / High Mobile Patient Lift, assists patients onto exam tables, beds, and procedural surfaces, reducing strain on medical staff and reducing potential patient falls. The LiftMate's 500 lb. capacity matches that of most medical exam tables. The LiftMate Patient Lift works with any exam table, any brand, old or new. And because the Platform Patient Lift is highly maneuverable and can be easily rolled from room to room, it can be a smart, cost-effective solution to purchasing power exam tables for each exam room.
The Brewer LiftMate has a large, non-slip platform with a graded step making it suitable for most patients. At 21" wide the LiftMate Patient Lift has ample room for patient manuevering and positioning, and can be accessed by those using walkers. Twin grab bars add to patient stability and confidence when using the LiftMate.
The LiftMate Mobile Lift is operated using a convenient and intuitive hand pendant. The patient can be assisted from either side of the LiftMate while the Patient Lift moves the patient into position to access the exam table or other procedural surface. Smooth movement of the LiftMate and quiet actuators enhance patient confidence and comfort. When in use, four auto-lock rubber feet prevent any movement of the LiftMate platform along the floor. For added safety, an emergency shut-off button is located within easy reach of both patient and caregiver. The LiftMate Low / High Lift is powered by both a rechargeable battery as well as through a standard electrical outlet, adding versatility.
Because the LiftMate Patient Lift is an easily manueverable and fits through standard doorways, one LiftMate can service multiple exam rooms. This reduces the need for expensive power lift tables, and can maximize your facility's investment in medical equipment.
For the millions of Americans that have difficulty getting onto and off of an exam table, the LiftMate offers the perfect solution to the risks associated with manual assitance. Patients who can benefit from the Brewer LifMate include those with mobility-reducing injuries or illness, the elderly, obese patients, pregnant women, and even those in perfect health.
Accidental patient falls are the most commonly reported incidents in hospitals. Many of these are largely preventable errors. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) no longer reimburse healthcare facilities for the costs resulting from these avoidable events. The Brewer Low / High LiftMate meets the challenge of reducing avoidable and costly fall injuries as well as injuries to hospital staff, and meets the need for affordable safe patient handling solutions.
Brewer now offers an innovative new medical technology that should be added to the fall prevention toolkit of health facilities that handle patients at risk for falls. In hospitals, approximately 3 to 20 percent of inpatients fall at least once during their stay. The Brewer 3000 LiftMate Low / High Patient Lift may become an indispensible part of the fall prevention toolkit.
