When a cardiac arrest occurs, the fact is that only half of the victims will need a shock. The other half requires CPR. The Zoll Pocket CPR is a CPR rescue device that provides audible and visual instructions before and during a rescue.
PocketCPR Trainer utilizes AHA-ILCOR recommended chain-of-survival instructions. When the PocketCPR Trainer is turned on in Full Operation Mode, the device reminds the user of the sequence to follow in a real rescue beginning with calling for help. Once placed on a patients chest and chest compressions have begun, PocketCPR Trainer generates a metronome at the AHA recommended rate of chest compression, gives verbal and visual feedback on the quality of CPR being delivered and reminds the user to give two breaths after every 30 compressions. Measurement of chest movement is made by a state-of-the-art accelerometer micro-chip and microprocessor performing continuous analysis.
