The SafeSEAL Diaphragm is a soft diaphragm, not a stethoscope cover. The SafeSeal Stethoscope Covers are to be used instead of the hard diaphragm. The soft, warm feel of the Safeseal diaphragm helps reduce patient discomfort associated with the "cold touch" of a stethoscope during exams. The DRG stethoscope diaphragms are acoustically sensitive to sound, latex-free, non-allergenic and resistant to ripping. As an improvement over the traditional hard diaphrams, SafeSEAL is made from the highly-sensitive, yet durable C-Flex non-latex synthetic elastomer. The soft Diaphragm conforms to the diameter of your stethoscope chestpiece to create an airtight seal, similar to that of a drum. The Diaphragm covers are intended to provide excellent acoustic response.

Stethoscopes have intimate contact with multiple patients. The SafeSEAL Diaphragm contains AgION, an antimicrobial compound, to suppress the growth of bacteria and mold on the diaphragm. The antimicrobial agent is impregnated throughout the material, not just on the surface of the diaphragm. Standard cleaning precautions should be followed, including cleaning of the diaphragm between use.

To install a SafeSEAL Soft Diaphragm, first remove the anti-chill ring from your stethoscope. Then remove the existing hard diaphragm. Replace the anti-chill ring. Stretch the SafeSEAL Diaphragm over the anti-chill ring to make an air tight seal. Standard cleaning between use should be followed. Change the soft diaphragm weekly.

1 Year Warranty

The manufacturer warrants that this product is free from defects in material and workmanship. Repair or replacement will be issued for any product which is found defective under the terms of this warranty. QuickMedical will assist with warranty issues within 30 days of product delivery. After that time, the products manufacturer must be contacted directly to address all warranty issues.
