The answer to this question is not known. We must defer this question to the person’s Physician/Obstetrician. However, when in doubt, Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves should be worn
All Sani-Cloth formulas are safe for use on computer hardware and keyboards. We do not recommend Sani-Cloth for use on touch screens or monitor screens as it may deteriorate the coating on the screen. Users should always check with manufacturer’s recommendations when cleaning computer touch screens.
PDI’s Sani-Cloths are not designed for use on food contact surfaces. Sani-Cloth Plus, Super Sani-Cloth, and Sani-Cloth HB are considered disinfectants for non-food contact surfaces. However, Sani-Wipe and No Rinse Sani-Surface are specifically designed for use on food contact surfaces in food service areas.
Gloves and other personal protective equipment should be worn as per the specific Sani-Cloth® product label directions for use.
The reason surfaces may dry sooner than the contact time stated on the label depends on the temperature and humidity of the room or environment. As per label directions: “treated surfaces must remain wet for the stated contact time on the product label. Use additional wipe(s) if needed to assure continuous contact time stated on the label.”
PDI offers three different formulas to meet the various needs of specific types of equipment or surfaces in healthcare. PDI offers a high volume alcohol/quat formula, a low volume alcohol/quat formula and an alcohol free formula: Super Sani-Cloth - 55% alcohol; Sani-Cloth Plus - 14.85% alcohol & Sani-Cloth HB - Alcohol-Free
The common active ingredient for all Sani-Cloth products is quaternary ammonium compounds. Sani-Cloths do not contain phenol, benzene or ammonia.
All Sani-Cloths are made from a polypropylene disposable cloth material.
The chemicals in the Sani-Cloth formulas are not considered carcinogenic (cancer causing) according to OSHA standards.
Most, if not all disinfectants will cause some discoloration, especially on plastics and other softer surfaces. The residue that the quaternary ammonium compound leaves can usually be wiped off with alcohol or water. However, on some surfaces, alcohol can cause discoloration. Always test a disinfectant product in an inconspicuous area before using.
No. Sani-Cloths are not biodegradable, nor are they flushable.
All Sani-Cloth Brand Germicidal Disposable Wipes are considered low-linting.
No. All Sani-Cloth Brand Germicidal Disposable Wipes are latex free.
Sani-Cloth HB - 8.35; Sani-Cloth Plus - 6.80 & Super Sani-Cloth - 5.78
Not all Sani-Cloth Germicidal Disposable Wipes can ship by air due to the alcohol content and flammability rating. Only Super Sani-Cloth in the canister must ship by ground and not by air due to the high alcohol content
If frozen, let them completely thaw out before use. The integrity of the product has not been compromised.
The expiration date is not on the canister itself. However, the date of manufacture is listed. The expiration date is 2 years from date of manufacture. (Example: MFG. 2008/08)
