How to Use the Baseline Digital Inclinometer

  • 1. Turn on the inclinometer by pressing the on/off switch once. The LCD display should light showing a number in the middle and either an up or down arrow on the left hand side. If the LCD doesn’t light then unscrew the one screw on the back, lift off t
  • 2. Place the inclinometer on the body part to be evaluated for range-of-motion.
  • 3. Manually move the body part through its range-of-motion.
  • 4. When the body part is at either extreme point of its range-of-motion press the alt zero (alternate zero reference point) button. A flashing dot should appear next to the alt zero notation at the bottom right of the LCD display.
  • 5. Move the body part through its range of motion to the other extreme point and press the hold button. A flashing dot should appear next to the hold notation at the top right of the LCD display.
  • 6. The range-of-motion in degrees can be read directly from the inclinometer. Press the hold button to release the reading from the screen.
  • 7. To take another reading repeat steps 2 through 6.
  • 8. When finished press the on/off button once to turn off unit. The unit will turn off automatically after 15 minutes.
