FWD Mobility Freedom Leg Off-Loading Brace allows the user to walk without applying any weight to an injured foot, ankle, or knee. The Offloading Leg Brace may be used with a cast or a boot to eliminate the need for standard crutches. The Freedom Leg Brace offloads weight from the lower leg to the upper leg, thereby maintaining upper leg strength while recovering from injury. The Freedom Leg is height adjustable in 1/4" increments for a precise fit, allowing the foot to "float" above the floor with zero weight on the leg from the knee down. The unique Off-Loading Brace design makes it ideal for those recovering from orthopedic surgery, sprains, and pressure ulcers. The Freedom Leg Off Loading Brace is safe for everyday walking as well as climbing stairs.
Available in a variety of sizing configurations, the Freedom Leg Brace can be adjusted for a custom fit. The durable hook and loop straps evenly distribute pressure. The Leg Brace is available with the choice of standard straps or long straps to accommodate larger patients. The shape of the thigh is smaller in circumference near the knee than near the hip which prevents the Freedom Leg Brace from sliding up the leg with only moderate strap tension. The bend in the Off-Loading Brace and knee naturally lifts the foot, allowing the user to walk with the foot elevated while both hips remain level, thus reducing strain. A foam shin pad ensures that the foot will not move forward in the brace and touch the ground.
The Forward Mobility Leg Brace is constructed of durable, lightweight carbon fiber and neoprene foam for a comfortable fit. The FWD Mobility Freedom Leg Brace is available in small, regular, and tall heights with either short or long straps to accommodate a wide range of patients. The Freedom Leg Off-Loading Brace is an ideal alternative to crutches for anyone recovering from lower leg surgery or injury.
