The Gendron 4748 Maxi Rest Bariatric Hospital Bed features 6 different models: 4748B, 4748D, 4748DX, 4748SB, 4748SD and 4748SDX. Though mostly the same, there are some differences. First, 3 of the models (4748B, 4748D and 4748DX) feature a one piece frame construction, whereas the other 3 models (4748SB, 4748SD and 4748SDX) offer a two piece frame construction. While all models feature electric function height adjustment, fowler back rest, and leg lift, Models 4748DX and 4748SDX also offer trendelenburg and reverse trendelenburg positions. The last difference between the models is the ability to adjust and expand. Models 4748D, 4748DX, 4748SD and 4748SDX can expand their width from 39" to 48" by utilizing integral extension panels, and the length can be conveniently adjusted from 80" to 88", while the other two models (4748B and 4748SB) cannot.
