Made from soft, firm, medical grade foam with a smooth surface, the Heelift Smooth Suspension Boot gently cradles and cushions the lower leg and elevates the foot while minimizing any chance for irritation or pressure points.

Heelift Suspension Boots are available in three different sizes allowing the best fit possible. The Smooth Heelift Suspension Boot is machine washable if placed in a net laundry bag with the Velcro straps closed and the extra elevation pad removed.

Heelift Smooth Suspension Boot

Ideal for edematous patients or patients with very sensitive skin
Ventilation holes provide additional air circulation to promote increased patient comfort.

Friction-free tricot backing on the underside increases patient mobility.
Polyethylene stiffener prevents boot from buckling.
Autoclavable for sterilization - close the straps and place in a normal autoclave wrapper
Machine washable in a standard washer and dryer - close straps and place boot into a net laundry bag, remove traction device first
A patient may walk short distances on any of the Heelift boots

Elevation Pads Are the Keys to a Custom Fit

To control hip rotation, the loose elevation pad can be affixed in a horizontal position to the outside of the boot to prevent external rotation.
To accommodate patient size, the lower elevation pad which is affixed to the inside of the boot can be trimmed or positioned forward or backward.
To prevent foot-drop, the loose pad can be placed under the forefoot.
For additional support for heavier patients, the loose pad can be repositioned and affixed on top of the lower elevation pad.

Heelift Standard Suspension Boot offers the following features:

Extended stitching: Located along the top rim, the added stitching narrows the forefoot and increases support to provide improved protection against foot drop, equines deformity, or heel cord contracture."Easy-on, easy-off" rounded straps and D-ring closures: Padded Velcro fastening straps are easy for the patient and/or healthcare professional to use and can easily be adjusted to accommodate specific patient needs.Friction-free tricot backing: Unlike other suspension products, which can have sharp edges on the back that can rub against the patient's other leg, Heelift is manufactured with a smooth tricot backing that aids in patient mobility and helps ensure patient safety.Two types of foam: Heelift Standard is available in Smooth foam or in Convoluted foam. Smooth foam is ideal for patients with edematous legs as it will not create "impressions" on the leg. Convoluted foam is slightly cooler to wear.Ventilation holes: Ventilation holes provide additional air circulation to promote increased patient comfort.Tricot covered stiffener: This feature prevents Heelift from buckling for added patient comfort and safety.The Heelift features forefoot support using a spring back technology to keep the foot upright.The Heelift can be autoclaved for sterilization. Close the straps and place in a normal autoclave wrapper.The Heelift can be machine-washed and dried. Simply tighten the straps and enclose in a net laundry bag or a pillow case.

Heelift Standard

Heelift Standard offers caregivers a more efficient and reliable way to prevent heel pressure ulcers than using pillows. One significant issue is that pillows do not prevent and tend to aggravate heel cord contracture as there is no forefoot support. Other considerations when using a pillow rather than a professional device include: Is the pillow too thin, thus allowing the heel to make contact with the mattress? Are there enough spare pillows to elevate the heel as well as to relieve heel pressure points through pressure redistribution? Is the pillow maintaining the correct position for the patient? Are the pillows positioned properly to avoid hip rotation? Use of Heelift Standard Suspension Boot, together with scheduled turning of the patient,careful monitoring, and other prevention procedures, has been clinically proven to help reduce heel pressure prevalence over time.

Repair or replacement will be issued for any product which is found defective under the terms of this warranty. QuickMedical will assist with warranty issues within 30 days of product delivery. After that time, the products manufacturer must be contacted directly to address all warranty issues.
