The HEM-907 contains no mercury. mmHg is a standard term for blood pressure measurement.
The accuracy of the pressure display can be checked in the CHECK mode. To check the monitor, you will need the following: Calibrated mercury manometer (including inflation bulb), T- tube, Two (2) air tubes, A sturdy cylindrical shaped object on which the cuff is wrapped.
The AVG Function allows you to set the following parameters: Number of measurements desired up to three (3), Waiting time until the first measurement, Measurement interval for the AVG Mode.
The MODE indicator provides the flexibility of the following features: SINGLE: Takes one measurement, AVG: Averages two (2) or three (3) measurements, MANU: Automatic inflation and deflation with pressure display for auscultation (no blood pressure), CHECK: Accuracy of pressure display can be checked in the CHECK Mode.
The P-SET (Pressure Setting) knob regulates the method of function: automatic or manual. The automatic setting inflates the cuff via IntelliSense to the patient's optimal pressure according to the patient's blood pressure. The manual inflation settings range from 100-to 280 mm/Hg.
The Pulse Level gives the number of irregular pulses: The pulse wave having a difference of more than 25% from the average interval of pulse waves is determined irregular. Number of irregular pulse waves is displayed up to three times.
When the first error occurs during measurement, the unit will automatically restart the measurement. IF a second error occurs, the unit will automatically turn off.
The procedure is diagramed on page 13 of the Instruction Manual. The following illustrate the method of changing the set values: F1 will be displayed by turning the power OFF and then pushing the ON/OFF Button for more than three seconds while holding the START Button. Push the START Button and select the function to set from F1 to F3. Each time you push the START Button, the functions change in the order of F1--F2--F3--. Push the DEFLATION (deflation control)/Measurement Result Display Switch Button and change the set values. When the setting is finished, push the ON/Off (power) Button to turn off the power. The settings are now programmed. Parameters will remain until the unit is reprogrammed with new settings.
Optional accessories sold separately include: Cuffs, Bladders, Mobile Stand, Wall Mounting Kit, AirTube.
The HIDE Button switches display and non-display of measured results. This function can be used in the SINGLE and AVG Modes. When using the HIDE feature the patient will not be able to view the readings.
