The Philips HeartStart FRx Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is designed for easy set-up, is user friendly and built with reliability in mind thanks to its durable construction. With advanced capabilities, the HeartStart FRx Defibrillator is the solution for treating sudden cardiac arrest in conditions that would be too demanding for other AEDs. Whether it's on the scene with law enforcement, on the field with student athletes, or on the job with employees, the Philips HeartStart FRx AED provides life-saving step by step instructions for the ordinary person.
Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Philips uses SMART Biphasic technology in its HeartStart Defibrillators to deliver an effective, high current defibrillation shock at a lower energy dose to minimize side effects. Philips unique SMART analysis automatically examines the victim's heart rhythm and determines if a shock is needed even when the shock button is pressed. The HeartStart FRx AED also improves survival by minimizing the time it takes to perform a shock after CPR.
With on-demand CPR Coaching, the HeartStart FRx provides calm, clear voice instructions timed to the responder's actions. Users are guided every step of the way. Both small and lightweight, the FRx reminds the user to call emergency medical services (EMS). The Philips HeartStart FRx Automated External Defibrillator is designed to meet the user's needs in every situation. Flashing icons and a quick reference guide can be used to lead the user through the defibrillation steps when hearing voice prompts would be difficult.
The Philips HeartStart FRx Defibrillator shares many of the same features as its predecessor, the HeartStart OnSite AED. Also, when EMS arrives, transfer of the victim is quick and easy because the FRx is compatible with advanced defibrillators such as the HeartStart MRx. HeartStart adapters allow the pads to be plugged into devices from other manufacturers as well.
The Philips HeartStart FRx AED comes ready to use with one set of pre-connected SMART Pads II for both adults and children. The FRx is nearly maintenance-free due to the AED's frequent self-tests performed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. A blinking green 'Ready' light indicates the Philips Defibrillator has passed the test and can be used. The Philips HeartStart FRx is powered by an easy-to-install battery that lasts up to 4 years. An optional Pediatric Switch Key signals the device for adjustment when the AED needs to be used on a child or infant and can be purchased separately in the ACCESSORIES tab above.
