The scale's rough surface consists of scratch-resistant plastic and is nevertheless easy to clean. When designing the slightly raised edges which improve stability, attention was paid to ease of cleaning, so that the inner corners are rounded off. The anodized frame construction and the sealed wooden plate at the bottom of the scale make the scale highly moisture resistant when the floor in the veterinary practice or clinic becomes wet. The rubber bases even out height differences of up to 5 mm, so that stability is also ensured when the floor is slightly uneven.

Intelligent Auto-Hold function: Although the animal has already left the scale, the weight is still displayed. During weighing, the person weighing can fully concentrate on the animal. A new weighing operation can be started without pressing a button beforehand, since the scale is automatically reset to zero when it is loaded again. Should it be necessary to repeat the measurement while the animal stays on the scale, the repeat weighing operation can be started by briefly pressing a button.

The tare function allows (for example) a cat to be weighed in its basket. To do so, weigh only the basket first and press the tare button. Then place the cat in the basket on the seca 606. The display only shows the weight of the cat. In the same manner, the tare function can be used for weighing the animal in its owner's arms.

The 3-step dampening function ensures reliable weighing of calm animals (no dampening), restless animals (slight dampening) and very restless animals (strong dampening).
