All Smart Fall Monitors are designed with safety in mind. Smart Caregiver continues to lead the way in developing the finest products enabling caregivers to provide the best care for residents who need it the most. Fall Prevention Monitors range from having basic features to those having more advanced features in order to accommodate any facilitys needs.

Each of the fall monitors are designed with safety features which such as cord / plug strain relief, adjustable volume control and 3 tone options. Other features include a reset / status light button which both silences the monitor and flashes every 4 seconds indicating proper functioning of pad and monitor. Fall monitors are equipped with two lights that illuminate to alert the caregivers of problems. The pad lost light illuminates if a pad is disconnected or damaged while the low battery not only visually alerts but also audibly notifies the caregiver when the battery is low or removed. All the Fall Monitors (except the TL-2100E) are equipped with a caregiver key feature; when the monitor is in caregiver key mode the reset button is disengaged and only the caregiver can silence the monitors alarm with the included caregiver key. The monitors are also designed with a nurse call port which accommodate a Nurse Call Adapter (433-NCA) allowing the monitor to wirelessly communicate with a 433-CMU Central Monitoring Unit alerting caregivers at a nurses station of a residents movement. All but two (TL-2100G and TL-2100E) of Smart Caregivers 5 Fall Monitors also feature a 0-2 second delay feature allowing patients to reposition without triggering the monitor.

The TL-2100CP FallGuard Fall Prevention Monitor with Change Pad Indicator alerts the caregiver when a Smart Timed Pressure Pad has expired. Timed Pressure Pads only track time in use or time with pressure on the pad and function like normal pressure pads, except the monitor alerts caregivers 2 weeks prior to pad's expiration. Two weeks prior to the expiration date, the Change Pad light on the TL-2100CP Change Pad Indicator Monitor will blink and the alarm will beep. During this 2 week period, the caregiver can reset (silence) the alarm on the monitor every 24 hours until 2 weeks later, when the pad has actually expired. On the last day of expiration the light remains on and the monitor will alarm and the caregiver will be unable to silence it.

Smart Timed pads work with all other TL-2100 series monitors, but only the TL-2100CP Fall Guard Monitor has a change pad indicator. All pressure bed / chair pad, floor mats, seatbelts, are compatible with the TL-2100CP Fall Prevention Monitor without effecting the change pad light.
