The Baseline Absolute Axis 360 Degree Goniometer provides convenient and accurate measurement results. Great for diagnosis and tracking the progress of therapy, the Goniometer is crafted from high quality materials to ensure long life and extended durability. Ideal for hospitals, clinics, and therapy centers, the Absolute Axis Goniometer helps reduce measurement errors and increase overall accuracy in diagnosis and treatment. The Absolute Axis Goniometer comes in a high resolution version with contrasting white behind markings and a normal gray background version.
Many goniometric Measurements require one arm of the goniometer to be positioned either horizontally or vertically. The other arm is then lined up with the patient's body. Until now, the practitioner had to assume or eyeball the vertical or horizontal position. Assuming that the goniometer is level or horizontal is often incorrect and introduces measurement errors to the entire process. The Absolute Axis goniometer removes this aspect of human error by establishing a true vertical or horizontal. The Absolute+Axis goniometer removes measurement variability and allows the practitioner to concentrate on correct placement of the other goniometer arm and the patient's body position.
The Absolute Axis is designed to improve many different measurements including: shoulder and hip rotation (internal and external); cervical flexion, extension, rotation, and side bending; hamstring flexibility; and active range of movement.
