The Accutest® ID750 H. pylori Rapid Urease Test quickly detects the presence of the urease enzyme in gastric mucosal biopsy specimens in order to diagnose an active Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. Simple tests for the presence of urease enable more rapid and convenient diagnosis than histology or gastric tissue cultures, but with comparable, accurate results. H. pylori is a Gram-negative, microaerophilic bacterium found in the stomach that is often associated with upper gastrointestinal tract disorders such as chronic gastritis, gastric ulcers, and even gastric cancer.
Biopsy Urease Tests are ideal screening tests for H. pylori colonization as a potential cause of gastrointestinal symptoms. Accutest® Urease Tests are designed for use by endoscopists in hospitals and specialty clinics during in vitro diagnostic endoscopy procedures. The Rapid Urease Test eliminates the wait time for laboratory test results, allowing quick diagnosis and prompt treatment of upper GI disorders. The ID750 H. pylori Test can indicate positive results in as little as one minute, with negative results in just one hour. Compared to other methods for detecting Helicobacter pylori, rapid urease tests are considered one of the most accurate, simple, and cost-effective solutions.
Accutest® Helicobacter pylori Tests are CLIA-waived and are in a dry test slide format. An external positive control solution may be purchased separately - See accessories below. Jant Pharmacal's Urease Test and Positive Urease Control Solution do not require refrigeration and the dry test format does not require incubation or reagents - making the Accutest® Urease Test convenient and simple. Jant Pharmacal H. pylori test devices are available in boxes of 50 and are proudly made in the USA.
