The Summit Doppler L300AC LifeDop Hand Held ABI Doppler performs faster and easier Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) exams for the diagnosis and tracking of Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD). The LifeDop Vascular Doppler by Wallach Surgical features a keypad to easily enter pressure data and provides automatic ABI calculation. The L300AC Doppler printer uses adhesive-backed label paper for placement of ankle waveforms on reimbursement report forms.
The LifeDop 300 ABI obtains limb systolic pressures using an 8 MHz or 5 MHz bi-directional ultrasound Doppler probe. The L300AC Doppler includes the 8 MHz probe, and the 5 MHz probe is available for purchase separately - See accessories below. Bi-directionality is the ability to discriminate arterial flow towards and away from the probe, which is essential for proper display of the ankle waveforms. The 8 MHz probe is optimal for measuring the systolic blood pressure in the extremities for most patients. The 5 MHz probe offers deeper penetration and a slightly wider beam, making it ideal for larger patients, but is less sensitive on shallow vessels than the 8 MHz probe. The Summit Doppler LifeDop stores each limb pressure for calculation of the left and right ABI, and Doppler waveforms are stored for each ankle. The LifeDop 300 ABI's compact printer rapidly prints both waveforms and ABI results. The ABI Doppler features automatic scaling and calibration, making it easy to maintain.
LifeDop 300 ABI Hand-held Vascular Doppler System includes the Doppler unit with the 8 MHz bi-directional probe, high speed printer with cable, aneroid sphygmomanometer, 2 each 10 cm cuffs for ankles and 12 cm cuffs for arms, adhesive-backed label paper, report forms, ABI chart, carrying case, guides, and ABI training video.
Early detection of Peripheral Arterial Disease is key to preventing severe cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke. Annual testing of patients at risk is recommended by national health organizations. Patients at risk for PAD include the elderly (70+ years of age), smokers and diabetics over age 50, those with a history of cardiovascular disease, abnormal pulse, claudication in the leg, or Critical Limb Ischemia (CLI). The Summit Doppler L300AC is ideal for clinics, medical offices, and hospitals. Summit ABI Test Doppler systems are proudly made in the USA.
